These works are the result of Amato’s first experimentation into Printmaking, created whilst Artist-In-Residence at MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA supported by the City of Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events (DCASE), Individual Artists Program (IAP) Grant. The results are a continuum of her painting practice that use a multi-medium approach while also considering the physical movements used in creating her dough works (squashing, pressing, etc), and taking on the surrealists method of automatism to produce the image itself.

The residency was held during August 22nd and September 11th, 2018.
